Module Aims

This module aims to develop an awareness of the financial environment in relation to both personal finance and the financial services sector

Content Summary

To identify and discuss the factors that the financial serves sector need to consider when making recommendations to clients and the suitability of financial products in a series of given scenarios.

Scenarios will include pensions planning, investment planning, personal debt management and elements of personal taxation.

Key elements of Personal Financial Planning including the regulatory framework surrounding the provision of financial advice. The effect of life-cycle, economic and social changes on an individual’s financial position
