Module Aims

This module aims to develop analytical, conceptual and technical skills related to financial decision making, performance measurement and the management of costs and revenues.

Content Summary

The context and application of specialist cost and management accounting techniques including activity based costing, target costing, lifecycle costing and cost volume profit analysis, in the provision of information for planning and control.

Planning and performance management, including approaches to budgeting, standard costing systems, variance analysis, the behavioural aspects of performance analysis, and transfer pricing.

The application of quantitative techniques in a management accounting context including cost estimation, the impact of risk and uncertainty and dealing with limiting factors.

Environmental management accounting.
