Module Aims

To enable learners to develop their professional accounting and finance practice through work-related activities; and to promote understanding and skills development to equip them for graduate employment across a range of business types and positions.

Content Summary

The module focuses on the development of students’ employability skills and experiences through various real and simulated activities resulting in a portfolio of resources and evidence.

Students are provided with the opportunity to perform a graduate level research role for an accounting or finance department operating within the public, private or third sector. Advanced excel functions are also incorporated into the research activity.

The content is delivered through workshops in collaboration with organisations and guest speaker practitioners where students are encouraged to network and connect accordingly.
