Module Aims

This module aims to equip students with an advanced understanding of management accounting and financial management concepts and techniques.

To enable students to contribute critical evaluation to the decision-making process at all levels within an organisation.

Content Summary

Short and longer term decision making techniques – the use of relevant and opportunity cost approaches, longer term cost forecasting and planning , activity based budgeting, learning curves and approaches to pricing.

Performance measurement and evaluation, financial, non-financial, combined approaches and ex- post variance analysis, including not for profit approaches and divisional performance measurement consderations.

Risk Analysis (Portfolio Theory & CAPM), Working Capital Management, Traded Share Options and Financial Instruments.
