Module Aims
To enable learners to further develop their professional practice and business insight through research activities; and to compile a sound career plan based upon examination and reflection of the industry and their skills and experiences to date.
Content Summary
Students are provided with the opportunity to perform research into developing aspects of the accounting and finance industry, creating reports that reflect current best practice within the sector.
The module also requires students to investigate the broad range of accounting and finance careers and to prepare a skills and experiences audit; reflection of these two activities allows students to create an analytical action plan geared towards a range of career goals. In addition, students are able to develop presentation skills to prepare them for graduate recruitment and selection processes.
Professional speakers across a range of organisations and roles provide the students with timely and relevant information; in addition, these sessions provide opportunities to network and further fine tune their professional online presence.
