Module Aims

  • To familiarise the student with methods of multi-media production, including audio recording and moving image, and to demonstrate how pertinent these elements are to the contemporary practitioner.
  • To explore the potential of alternative forms of presentation beyond the printed portfolio.

Content Summary

This module is an opportunity to explore alternative ways of producing and presenting documentary projects in the digital realm.

The module will explore aspects of digital storytelling and multi-media documentary production including moving image and audio recording. Students will be mentored to complete their own short production.

Consideration will be given to the different ways in which digital storytelling and multi-media documentary can give engage new audiences and give scope for different forms of expression to the still image.
