Module Aims

This module aims to develop and to to discuss the macroeconomic, social and political factors relevant to pensions, investment and protection planning and to apply the legal regulatory and taxation framework to each financial area

Content Summary

The delivery of three specific units;

Pensions and retirement planning

The need for protection and planning for its potential effects

Investment needs analysis, short and long soultions.

All units will include the need to consider the effects of the UK taxation system on each of the elements.

Case studies and scenarios will include pensions planning, investment planning, personal tax planning and elements of debt management and protection.

The module will explore the issues faced by clients encountering a series of events during their lives, including house purchase, long term illness, unemployment, inheritance and retirement.

A series if guest lectures will be delivered by professionally qualified individuals from the Financial services sector in South East Wales.
