Module Aims

• Introduce students to the organisation and nature of social work assessments, including multidisciplinary contexts.
• Explore the concepts of inequality and discrimination and how to overcome them.
• Consider the impact of social work interventions on people who use services and carers.
• Introduce the concept of outcome-focused assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and their relationships to theoretical perspectives.
