Module Aims
Increase familiarity with a range of analogue and digital techniques to visually communicate Interior Design concepts and proposals.
Introduce industry-relevant 3D modelling software (e.g. Revit or 3ds Max, etc) to visualize design schemes.
Broaden understanding of how to graphically communicate the project proposal, identity, and branding.
Content Summary
This module focusses on the physical and digital presentation of Interior Design concepts and schemes, building on the fundamental visual communication skills established on Architectural Communication 1 at Level 4.
This module runs alongside Interior Design Projects 2, so that the concepts and schemes being visually presented are the students’ own in relation to their project work. This serves to reinforce learning across modules and results in a more comprehensive design outcome to enhance students’ portfolios.
On this module, students will learn about analogue and digital presentation techniques and will develop skills to present information in 2D and 3D physical and digital formats. Students will explore visual branding strategies and will learn to create visuals that capture the essence of a project’s visual identity. Students will also learn to do a feasibility study to prepare students for future self-choice projects at Level 6.
