Module Aims

Enable students to generate, complete and present original, innovative design projects to a recognised discipline format and standard by responding to the different requirements of competition briefs.

Refine professional design skills within a collection of work that demonstrates personal and professional judgement.

Develop teamwork and project management by planning, designing, and staging the end of year Degree Show as a collective endeavour.

Content Summary

This module will encourage students to focus on design work that is more outward facing, including entering design competition briefs and planning the end of year Degree Show, in order to build up their professional profiles and portfolios. Students may work individually and in groups to achieve these outcomes, in order to test their individual ideas and responses to design problems while also negotiating project work as a team.
