Module Aims

To develop the skills required to undertake effective market analysis and deploy valuable marketing and promotional strategies based on sound principles, detailed planning and case studies.

Content Summary

This module will cover theoretical approaches to marketing and investigate; Definitions of marketing, Principles of the Marketing Mix, Marketing plans, content and structure and Market orientation. Students will be introduced to marketing audits and its value in achieving organisational objectives. To explore how marketing within the music industry has an impact on artists and organisations, by utilising academic theories and frameworks to explore case studies in practice.
