Module Aims

To help learners develop an understanding of how organisations and groups can be designed and managed for effective performance. To give learners the understanding and skills relating to the principles, theories and practice of management.

Content Summary

The module focuses on how creative organisations are managed to achieve the purposes for which they exist. It examines major theories and models in areas of organisational structure, creativity, organisational change, personality, motivation, teams and leadership. It develops understanding of management, relating to creative talents and creative businesses together with development of management skills.
