Datblygu ymhellach ddealltwriaeth athrawon dan hyfforddiant o hanes polisi addysg ac addysg yng Nghymru hyd heddiw.

Atgyfnerthu defnydd athrawon dan hyfforddiant o ymchwil addysgol, a'u profiad ymarferol eu hunain yn yr ysgol, er mwyn sefydlu cysylltiadau rhwng theori ac ymarfer mewn cyd-destunau dysgu.

Datblygu dealltwriaeth fwy soffistigedig o ddamcaniaethau ac ymchwil am addysgeg.

Galluogi athrawon dan hyfforddiant i gymhwyso syniadau craidd sy'n berthnasol i addysg, gan gynnwys Asesu, Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol, Llythrennedd, Rhifedd a Chymhwysedd Digidol, i'w meddwl am eu hymarfer yn yr ystafell ddosbarth.

Cyfrannu at gyrraedd y Safonau Addysgu ar gyfer Statws Athro Cymwysedig a nodwyd yn y Safonau Proffesiynol ar gyfer Addysgu ac Arweinyddiaeth (Llywodraeth Cymru, 2017).

Mae'r modiwl hwn yn canolbwyntio ar ddealltwriaeth fwy beirniadol, dadansoddol o'r sector addysg yng Nghymru, gan edrych ar:

• Damcaniaethau ac ymchwil am addysgeg a datblygiad dynol, gan gynnwys yr angen i ddarparu ar gyfer datblygiad cyfannol y dysgwr.
• Rôl gyfnewidiol athrawon yng Nghymru.
• Dulliau o gynllunio'r cwricwlwm, yn seiliedig ar y Pedwar Diben a'r Deuddeg Egwyddor Addysgeg.
• Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau'r Dyfodol (Cymru) 2015 a Deddf Cydraddoldeb 2010, a'u heffaith ar ymarfer athrawon.
• Dulliau o sicrhau mynediad cyfartal i'r cwricwlwm, gan ganolbwyntio ar leihau effaith tlodi ac anfantais gymdeithasol.
• Pwysigrwydd gosod disgwyliadau uchel a thasgau priodol a heriol i bob dysgwr.
