Module Aims

To enable advanced study of a specialist area in theatre, drama, and/or performance.
To develop students creative proficiency and textual and critical evaluation skills in the area studies.

Content Summary

This module exposes students to a specific field within drama, theatre and performance. Indicative examples are acting for camera and scriptwriting. The area/s of study are creative industries based and may change on an annual basis.
Languages of drama, theatre and performance are explored through creative, critical practice appropriate to the specific field studied. Summative assessment is through a drama portfolio containing activities befitting the area of study and set out in the assessment brief. Portfolios may be entirely written, or consist of both practical and written tasks.
