Module Aims

To introduce students to patients perception of musculoskeletal injuries sustained in the sports and exercise environment

To develop empathetic practitioners, able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Content Summary

In this module students will study:-

Communication strategies and patient reported outcome measures for MSK clinicians

Professionalism, ethics and morality in sports and exercise therapy

Motivation, adherence and other psychological effects of MSK injury

Skill acquisition and motor control in the context of coaching in rehabilitation

Nutritional strategies for sports and exercise injury
