Module Aims
To critically evaluate organisational level and personal compassionate and collaborative leadership to support the effective strategic development, management of change and in NHS Wales.
Content Summary
This module will look at:
• Definitions and models of leadership
• Leadership styles
• Approaches to leadership, including leadership as position (hierarchy, authority and status), personal qualities (traits, behaviour, vision and values) and a social process (distributed, collaborative and relational)
• Reflections on own leadership and group roles (active learning using scenarios or similar activity)
• Leadership and management ethics and values
