Module Aims

Module Aims
• To provide students with an introduction to research skills – particularly in relation to studying business and undertaking Work-based Learning (‘WBL’).
• To give guidance on identifying and locating sources, and on appropriate use of sources in written assignments.
• To give guidance on how to write academic coursework: including planning, answering the question, flow of argument, structure and presentational format.
• To give guidance on various styles of business communication.
• To introduce the concept of reflection on learning and workplace practice.
• To explore the concept of learning preferences.
