Module Aims

1. To enable students to investigate, apply and critically evaluate professional practices as appropriate to their chosen specialism.
2. To enable students to integrate professional practices into their creative work within Arts, Health and Wellbeing settings and practices.
3. To encourage students to be independent and enterprising in the promotion of themselves and their practice

Content Summary

Indicatively, the module will focus on the following content:
During this module, students will be introduced to areas such as quality principles and frameworks, ethics, analysis and evaluation methods. Students will also be introduced to effective methods of communication for different purposes and audiences. Diverse approaches to professional practice will be explored and interrogated through seminars, presentations and peer to peer learning.

The module will encompass a review of local, national and international audiences and networks within professional, academic or commercial spheres. Students will also be expected to undertake different forms of self- directed learning, employing both expansive and focused investigation. The application of this learning will result in the integration of specific professional outcomes within the students’ Arts, Health and Wellbeing practice.
