Module Aims

The module aims to provide the platform for the development of an appropriate independent research report that will lead to the doctoral thesis. The module adopts a student led independent approach to produce an advanced positioning report that will outline the framework for the doctoral thesis.

Content Summary

On completion of this module students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a practical rationale for research.
- Demonstrate a theoretical rationale for research.
- Present a research question.
- Present a research design that will address the research question.
- Articulate an original and unique contribution to knowledge that their research will make.
