Module Aims

The module aims to equip students with the necessary skills to pursue a History degree and improve their achievement over the course of the award. It also aims to increase students’ awareness of the transferable skills developed by the History degree.

Content Summary

The module will cover themes including: referencing; the presentation of coursework; how to search for primary and secondary sources; careers for history graduates; the transferable skills cultivated by the history degree; how to generate basic research questions; the marking criteria used to assess assessments. This module includes a six-week immersive learning element.
