Module Aims

This module aims to provide students with a broad understanding of a range of new and emerging themes within the digital sector such that students can consult with subject specialists in the future to make informed decisions to support digital transformation.

Content Summary

This module introduces and explores current and emerging themes and technologies in the digital sector.

It will provide the opportunity for individuals from different subject disciplines, and different organisations, to agree a common language of digital transformation in order that they can collaborate in future modules to support digital transformation.

This module will introduce students to key concepts within the subject and explore the opportunities and potential of emerging digital technology.

Students will deepen their understanding of the subject through a series of lectures, supported by additional reading and research to critically evaluate the potential of particular innovations within a health and social care context.

It is noted that digital technology develops at a rapid pace. Module content will be delivered that is current and relevant at the time of delivery.
