Module Aims

To enable students to develop a sophisticated understanding of the main global mega-trends, driving forces and challenges for global business today, and the ways in which they impact on global business management and global value chains
To cultivate students’ responsible leadership skills including strategic decision-making and problem-solving capabilities in the context of real- life situations.

Content Summary

The module aims to familiarise students with the main driving forces, mega-trends and challenges that impact global business and global value chains today. In delves into an examination of issues such as:

• global digital transformation and AI
• climate change, decarbonisation and the global energy transition
• geopolitical and demographic parameters
• socio-economic trends, such as urbanisation
• global regulation
• shifts in economic power and global economic governance
• financial mechanisms, vehicles and options
