Module Aims

• To enable the student to gain skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the selected industry, by undertaking a period of supervised work experience, and/or a combination of placement and ‘live’ project.
• To enable the student to analyse and reflect on the learning achieved during the placement/’live’ project.

Content Summary

Work based learning (up to 35 hours) and/or a simulation. Subject to discussion with tutor.

Evidence of communication from the company with a report on the company/profile. This must include the roles and responsibilities of staff and the individual work experience role undertaken by the learner.

Practical outcome supported by a portfolio of work carried out during the simulated project.

Reflective report on the learning achieved during the work experience and simulated project. (1500 words)
