Module Aims
- To develop understanding of the design and implementation of a small-scale qualitative practice-based research project
- To explore the meaning and purpose of ethics in research and professional practice contexts
- To deepen understanding of the life and learning experiences of a specified learner in order to develop own practice
- To contribute to, and benefit from, a supportive ‘research community’ of peers

- Designing a project, gaining ethical approval and gaining informed consent for the research.
- Designing a suitable informal interview and observation structure to explore the needs of an individual learner in depth.
- Interviewing and observing the learner.
- Developing and evaluating new interventions in learning support.
