Module Aims

To identify and enhance the skill sets needed to become an effective and professional-level artist. Individual, collaborative, performance, presentation and reflective abilities will be developed, with the following aims of:

Examining and enhancing the key elements of an effective performance, as an individual and as a collective.

Applying and interpreting insights gained from existing and exemplary artists to personal and collaborative artistic development.

Reviewing personal and peer performance to improve understandings of professional attitudes and praxis.

Content Summary

Through supervised rehearsal sessions and weekly performance workshops, students will engage in the following areas:

Effective preparation and leadership techniques, ensuring a progressive level of development as a performing artist.

Identification of effective branding and imagery that can enhance realistic career goals.

Critical reflection of performance and presentation.

Collaboration and communication skills needed for effective, professional standard, and timely performance outcomes.

Outlining of personal areas of ongoing development to be implemented.
