Module Aims

The module will provide a basis for study for students to:

1. develop knowledge and skills in the area of Employment Law in Practice; and
2. put the knowledge and skills that have been learned into practice through practical exercises based on case scenarios

Content Summary

The module will examine the following areas:
1. Employment Status
2. The Contract of Employment
3. Termination of the Contract of Employment
4. Family Friendly Rights
5. Equality Act 2010
6. Transfer of a business or part of a business from one organisation to another (TUPE)
7. Whistleblowing
8. The rules and procedures relating to the Employment Tribunal
