To critically examine the production and consumption of commodities within the context of social, cultural, economic, political and environmental challenges.

To critically evaluate sustainable practices of production and consumption.

Content Summary

Production and consumption are a driving forces of the global economy that impact our use of natural resources and the environment. The module first critically examines the social, cultural, political, economic and environmental impacts of the production and consumption of commodities. The module then evaluates how processes of production and practices of consumption can be adapted to become more sustainable.
