Module Aims

On successful completion, students should have an understanding of key themes in clinical practice and have been exposed to a real-world clinical environment.

Content Summary

Students will learn through a mixture of lectures, tutorial, simulation, laboratory practical and placement with local health boards. Module content will include legal and professional issues in clinical practice, developing effective communication techniques and some core clinical skills for placement; specifically moving and handling and basic life support, for which they will receive formal certification.
