Module Aims

The module will provide students with an introduction to the rules of commercial law.

The module will provide a basis for study for students to;

1. Develop student knowledge and understanding of the law relating to commercial relationships including the legislative control of commercial contracts and
2. Analyse and apply the law relating to commercial relationships.

Content Summary

The module provides a wide-ranging examination of the rules of in relation to commercial law and examines legislative and judicial decisions and their impact on business and the rights bestowed when contracting with a business. The module will cover the following indicative content:

· Agency
· Sale of Goods
· Statutory implied terms
· Passing of Property and Risk
· Retention of title clauses
· Exclusion and limitation clauses
· Transfer of Property
· Delivery, acceptance and payment
· Remedies
