Module Aims

The module will provide students with an introduction to the law on corporate criminal liability.

The module will provide a basis for study for students to;

1) Develop knowledge and understanding of the substantive rules relating to coporate criminal liability.
2) Evaluate the significance of corporate crime within business and society more generally.

The module explores a wide-range of corporate criminality, and will cover the following indicative content:

• Directors Liability
Corporate Liability for death
• Bribery and corruption
• Regulatory law – Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
• Provision of financial services
• Insider dealing Price-fixing
