Module Aims

This module aims to provide the fundamental knowledge required to support the deployment of technology-based solutions for the event production environment.

Content Summary

Through a series of lectures and practical workshops, this module will broadly cover subject matter in the following areas:

Re-evaluating commonly held preconceptions.

Familiarisation with common industry terminology.

The nature of sound and light.

Common software (MS Office suite) and its useful application for the event industry.

Introduction to the event industry supply chain.

Investigation into how good industry practice leads regulation and vice versa.

Electrical principles and fundamentals.

Signal transmission.
