Module Aims

This module aims to look at current and future advanced audio techniques and technologies that facilitate ever increasingly innovative performances and installations. The core theme is the technology which facilitates these advanced techniques.

Content Summary

Delivery will be via a combination of lectures, workshops and practical sessions.

Advanced networked audio systems, multi-point to multi-point and the relevant protocols employed.

Integration of plug-ins to the digital signal path using a variety of console platforms.

Advanced 3D Audio System Modelling

Noise management and off-site noise pollution prediction

Advanced array steering through DSP prediction and atmospheric considerations

Advanced use of tools for RF coordination & monitoring.

Advanced matrix systems for live performances.

Immersive audio systems and their deployment for various environments.
