Module Aims

To introduce students to the ways policy and law can affect the priorities and operations of sporting organisations, in addition to the principles of good governance in sport.

Content Summary

The following concepts and key principles, in addition to their impact upon the sporting landscape are covered within this module: sports and company law; associations, limited companies and other organisational types; roles and responsibilities of Officers, Directors and Shareholders; culture, values, behaviours, diversity and integrity; Corporate Social Responsibility; sports policy and those that affect the sporting landscape; the relationship between strategy, policy and practice.
