Module Aims

Introduce learners to the concepts and principles of modern mixing techniques.

To enable learners to prepare, organise and produce a variety of audio output to a professional standard utilising a variety of mixing techniques..

To apply theoretical principles and developmental strategies.

Content Summary

This module will see the learner developing their skills with regard to mixing for the competitive industries of music and film. Throughout a series of lecturers and masterclasses, this module will allow learners to explore the art of Mixing. They will spend time discovering different mixing techniques used by industry professionals ITB (in the box), VCA’s, Sub Groups, Instrument Buses, vocal processing, Master Bus. Throughout the second part of the module you will discover and experience different fundamentals. The learners will experience a variety of topics through lectures and practical workshops in the state of the art recording studios. Seminars will support you applying different production techniques and how to prepare your mixes
