Module Aims

Introduce learners to the concepts and principles of Roles across the music industry

To produce a learning and personal development plan.

Learners will identify and explore their own level of soft skills and technical ability whilst developing their confidence.

Content Summary

The module considers the nature and structure of the music industry, looking at marketing strategies, professional networking, producing original material, personal development, freelance and the major employers in the industry. Learners will explore working patterns and practical support in preparing for employment.

Topic example include

Revenue Streams and Royalties

Ticketing, merch, streaming, physical sales, ancillary income (TV performance, radio sessions,) publishing royalties.
