Module Aims

The aim of the module is to develop learners skills and opportunities within the music industry. Learners will prepare and produce research with a focus on the learners future.

Analyse and identify skills required to achieve the learners goals. Breakdown and analyse trends through research and produce a body of work to support the learners chosen pathway.

Content Summary

Through this module the learner will build on the skills developed in Creative Professional 1. This module will advance your business skills and will prepare you for work. In this module the learner will be encouraged to identify a chosen pathway and create a body of work to help support their chosen career path. You will learn how to develop essential interpersonal skills and Business topics through a series of workshops

Learners will produce and develop :

Self employment (HMRC)

Collection Societies (PRS, PPL, Media IP and MCPS)

Planning the future (C.V. website and portfolio)

Business plan (freelance, Investment plan, Funding, Grants, Routes to market)

Developing healthy habits (Journals, backup files, agenda, planning, researching, networking and contacts)
