Content Summary

During this module the student will be required to investigate and explore the creative industries to further their knowledge of the potential career opportunities available.

Through this initial observational process, students will investigate the changing market requirements in order to understand best practices for employability.

With this understanding of the market place, current and emerging trends, and investigation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of their own illustration practice, they will be required to develop a personal development plan that will support them in articulating your personal goals and evaluate your progress towards recognised achievements.

They will also use this investigation to develop and articulate a relative portfolio and digital profile to increase their ability to undertake appropriate self-marketing within their chosen field and providing them with the work, confidence and experience for entry to employment with the Creative Industries or to progress onto further study.

The Student will demonstrate and show evidence of an awareness gained of the current and emerging trends in market requirements for employability within the creative industries and initiate an appropriate portfolio.

Sustainability within the industry will be investigated and researched on. The learner will show evidence of knowledge of non-toxic materials, recycling, recycled material and natural materials.
