Module Aims

Manage all aspects of a creative illustration project through undertaking professional competition submissions.

Apply understanding and knowledge of the professional context of creative practice as appropriate to Illustration to a given creative brief.

Encourage an awareness of the employment market and to understand the professional context of a range of potential employment opportunities.

Content Summary

This module provides the opportunity for students to undertake specialist creative projects in order to apply their knowledge, skills and understanding in a professional and public context by responding to industry developed competition briefs.

Students will further develop their professional awareness by responding to projects that explore subjects within a national or international context, and by responding to the demands of working to professional levels of expectation.

Students will be expected to apply a number of the transferable skills they have developed during the course such as time management, communication and interpersonal skills in order to produce work to specific schedules and deadlines.

A combination of lectures, seminars and project supervision will allow progression through this module
