Module Aims

The aim of the module is to provide the student with an understanding advanced knowledge of International Family Law.

The module will provide a basis for study for students to:? 

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the current issues relating to the advanced study of family law in an international context.

Examine topical issues in relation to both the institutional framework and the core issues that fuel current legal and political debates triggered by the globalisation of family life.

Examine the formation and dissolution of adult relationships involving a cross border element, including the rules governing international marriages and financial support on separation.
