The module aims to enable students to understand teaching methods, approaches and theories associated with different teaching contexts which prevail within a TESOL environment.

Content Summary

On successful module completion, students will understand: TESOL teaching methods, approaches and theories of teaching, Content and language integrated learning (CLIL), Bi-lingual, multi-lingual classrooms, English for Academic purposes (EAP), English for Specific purposes (ESP), Pre-school, English as a medium of instruction (EMI), Online environment / Computer assisted language learning (CALL) (blended, hybrid), Co-teaching / team teaching
