Module Aims

The module aims to introduce key concepts and principles in language testing and assessment, which covers theoretical approaches to assessment and testing of language skills in general /academic and specific contexts.

Content Summary

On successful module completion students will have studied key concepts and terminology associated with testing and assessment, validity and washback, indirect tests, subjectivity in speaking tests, how to test reading, writing and listening, technology and online tests.
