Module Aims

The module aims to enable students to put their learning into practice through peer teaching, whilst receiving critical feedback from peers in a formatively assessed environment, and providing critical feedback to others whilst observing.

Content Summary

Module delivery will consist of live, formatively assessed and peer assessed micro-teaching for all students. Through micro-teaching exercises, students will test and develop their ability to teach particular skills and concepts in front of peers, drawing on the knowledge of what approaches and topics are most appropriate for their own teaching practice for career development. They will be guided by the module leader to offer appropriate feedback to peers in a supportive environment, and to focus on appropriate teaching approaches for their own professional planning.
