Module Aims

Explore curriculum design principles and contexts at local, national and global level to critically develop innovative and impactful practice.

Know how to critically apply curriculum design principles linked to pedagogy, learning outcomes, and assessment principles.

Engage with the context and requirements of stakeholders, professional bodies and institutions to create and validate curriculum.

Recognise the value of collaboration and feedback to critically inform and develop curriculum design process.

Content Summary

The module has been developed to support participants explore and develop their own curricula, in line with the changing global perspective, professional body and institutional needs.

Assessment plays a key role in the design of curricula and this module emphasises a student focus approach, with equity, diversity and inclusivity at the heart of the planning process.
