Module Aims
To develop skills and understanding in the conventions of academic literacy and research.
To develop an understanding of the relevance of research as a foundation for evidence-based practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Content Summary
Planning written assignments.
Collation, organising and structuring of material for assignments.
Interpreting assignment questions and directing responses accordingly.
Conventions of the Harvard Referencing System.
Plagiarism techniques and use of TURNITIN.
Using search engines effectively.
Presentation skills – delivering a topic digitally.
Identifying and evaluating academic sources.
Identifying and evaluating research evidence.
Evidence based practice.
This module contains a six-week immersive learning element.
