Module Aims

This module will introduce students to social pedagogy concepts, theories, and approaches, and support them to apply these and develop their practice on placement in the social care sector with children, young people, families and communities.

The module will enable students to carry out an asset mapping exercise, where they explore and critically evaluate the provision available across life in the community in which they practice.

Content Summary

The module content will provide an introduction to the concepts of social pedagogy and how these can be applied when working with children, young people, families and communities in the Social Care Sector.
