Module Aims

To develop students’ skillsets in a range of contemporary music therapy skills.

To ensure students can select appropriate music therapy techniques in partnership with service users.

Content Summary

The module will present a range of skills relevant to contemporary music therapy practice such as therapeutic songwriting, receptive music therapy and music technology. Students will learn how to deliver clinical music therapy using such skills, and how to critically evaluate and assess the relevance of such skillsets to a range of client groups.
