Module Aims
The module aims to identify, discuss, explain, and demonstrate practical coaching skills, player development principles and talent identification principles related to the development of footballers across the foundation phase (U8-U11). The module also aims to provide students with opportunities to discuss, explain and review coaching theory relevant to the phase of development.
Content Summary
The module and the embedded NGB award (FAW C Certificate) identify discuss and explain practical coaching skills, player development principles and talent identification principles related to the development of footballers across the foundation phase. The development of the individual player’s mastery of the football and their movement skills are of primary focus throughout the module in order to ensure that students are able to apply these concepts in practice.
