Module Aims
The module aims to identify and demonstrate practical ‘What to coach’ skills related to the development of footballers across the youth development phase (U12-U16) in the tactical, technical, physical, and psycho-social dimensions. The module also aims to provide students with a more in-depth knowledge of the game of football through the comparison, analysis, testing and evaluation of player development principles that are prevalent within modern football.
Content Summary
The module and the embedded NGB award (FAW/UEFA C License) identify and demonstrate practical coaching skills related to the development of footballers across the youth development phase in an integrated approach. The development of the individual player within the unit is of primary focus throughout the module in order to ensure that students are able to apply such crucial concepts in practice.
