Critical Thinking
During this module students consolidate and build upon the learning and skills acquired at level 4. They are also encouraged to broaden their frame of reference to encompass a wide range of disciplines, in order to add depth and richness to their research activities and to the production of practical outcomes.
Students continue to develop the processes associated with research and critical analysis for essay writing, enabling them to improve their skills in verbal and written communication.
Students continue sourcing, assembling and editing their research ias a body of work. As is the case at level 4, this includes an element of self-reflective writing in order for learners to document and evaluate their learning experience.
Emphasis at level 5 is placed upon the way in which research can be applied in the production of practical outcomes, thus enhancing students’ understanding of its value.
