Module Aims

  • Introduce students to the disciplines of Screenwriting, Producing & Directing.
  • Enable students to develop better understanding of these craft roles and how they work together with each other, and the other roles developed in previous modules. These skills also feed into their work on the filmmaking module this semester.
  • Develop interpersonal communication skills, and procedures for filmmaking. They will also develop good research and development skills in pre-production, which are involved in getting a film project off the ground.

Content Summary

Students will learn more about the core skills of Screenwriting, Producing & Directing through a series of lectures & workshops.
Each student will create a portfolio of work which demonstrates their understanding and abilities in each of these craft roles.
